Cahoots Talent Management was founded in response to talent needs. A need for assistance navigating an industry that is simultaneously steeped in tradition and subject to constant flux. The modern working voice actor needs not only talent and training, but the ability to run a business, to know where the business is, to juggle multiple agents and clients, to purchase and troubleshoot their own tech, and more, all while delivering world class quality. Cahoots fast-tracks talent by setting definitive benchmarks in the what, when, why and how of this industry in all of its facets, then opening doors to new opportunities individualized to their careers while raising their profiles and providing ongoing support. Cahoots is Management, not Agency. We focus on building your whole career, not on booking individual gigs.
The National Association of Voice Actors (NAVA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and advancing the voice acting industry through action, education, inclusion, and benefits. Founded in November 2022, NAVA serves as a professional association for voice actors, addressing industry challenges and promoting the interests of its members. NAVA is the first voice-over association in the U.S. to offer nationwide group healthcare plans, ensuring that voice actors have access to essential benefits that support their well-being. In addition, NAVA provides contract review services, legal aid, and financial aid and scholarships to help voice actors navigate their careers with greater security and stability. One of NAVA’s significant achievements is the development of an AI/Synthetic Voice Contract Rider, designed to protect voice actors from unauthorized use of their voices in artificial intelligence applications. This rider has been widely adopted within the voice acting industry as well as other creative fields. As part of its commitment to ethical and professional standards, NAVA has also introduced Best Practices for Demo Production, Authentic Casting, and Kids in VO, setting guidelines to promote fairness, authenticity, and protection for performers. Beyond these initiatives, NAVA actively engages in advocacy efforts, including meetings on Capitol Hill with federal and state legislators, presentations to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the United Nations, as well as participation in discussions with the European Union to champion protections for voice actors against AI exploitation. Additionally, NAVA is the proud cofounder of the United Voice Artists Federation, a 22-nation coalition of voice acting associations. Through its comprehensive programs and initiatives, NAVA continues to support and empower voice actors, ensuring their rights and contributions are recognized and valued within the broader entertainment industry.
